Hi,

My Bole/boles ancestors lived in Chester Co. PA. Wherever I find a Boles, there are also Hamilton's. In 1608 James Hamilton, Scottish Laird, "Planted" his new lands in Ireland with Scots, On the 1681-1688 rent rolls of County Down a William Bole and many Hamilton's are listed in that county in Northern Ireland.

In SC I find the following about my James Boles:

UNION COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA MINUTES OF THE COUNTY COURT 1785-1799, Brent Holcomb, page 23: "Ordered that the following deposition be recorded:

STATE SOUTH CAROLINA) (UNION COUNTY ) This day Came into Court JAMES HAMILTON and being duly Sworn according to Law Made Oath and saith that he was personally acquainted with JAMES and SUSANNAH BOLE as Husband and Wife, and that he heard it publickly Report that SUSANNAH BOLE had a son named JAMES BOLE and that he has been acquainted with the same JAMES BOLE JR. part in the state of Pennsylvania and that the said JAMES BOLE JUNIOR was the reputed son and heir of the said JAMES BOLE SENIOR and that he never heard any report to the contrary and that he lived in the same neighborhood with the said JAMES BOLE in the STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA IN CHESTER COUNTY. Anything further he saith not. Sworn before us the twenty eight day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Five. Zachariah Bullock, JP; William Kennedy JP; Charles Sims JP; John Birdsong JP.

The above mentioned Susannah Bole received a land grant in 1752 on a creek that is still called "susy Boles Creek", in what is now Chester Co, S.C.
Do you know of any connection between the Hamilton and Bole/Boles families of Chester Co., PA?

thanks,
Pauline Stanhagen

Hello

I found your site very interesting and obtained information from it that I have not been able to
locate elsewhere.

I am in possession of the "Family Bible" for the George Hoopes / Albinah Woodward
Family. One of their daughters, Abigail Hoopes, was the wife of Caleb T. Pennock. They
are my great great grandparents.

Thank you for your web site.

Hi...

I found your page and found it to be very interesting. I've been told that we are directly related to Abraham Lincoln just like you grandmother. The men in our family do bear a resemblance.

My name is Danielle Marie Plancich (was Hamilton)

My father was Daniel Robert Hamilton. He was one of nine children. He was born in Washington State. His parents were Elsie and Maurice Hamilton.

My father was a member of a popular rock band in the 70's called Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds.

There are many Hamilton's are we're probably not related but it struck me when I read the part about Abraham Lincoln.

My cousin is creating a web page of her own for our family. I can send you the link if you're at all interested?

Hi

Am hoping that you can help me. I'm looking for any info on my great great grandfather- David Pennock. He was born 1828-29 Pottstown, PA. He married Isabel Fischer in PA. He had several children, one being my great grandmother, Emma Rebecca Pennock, who married John C. Kennedy. As far as I know they always lived in the Berks, Chester Co. area of PA. I appreciate any help that you can give me.

THANKS!

Judy

Hello Richard

The 1850 Census gives Ezekiel in West Fallowfield Twp. Chester Co:

Ezekiel Hamilton 31 Male  Farmer (value of real Estate) $2000 born: Ireland
Lydia " 25 Female, born: Chester Co
Mary Jane " age 2 Female "

You can get more info by checking subsequent Censuses (which I don't have.)

He must have been well off to own land at the age of 31 (many Irish immigrants were laborers and could not read or write. So Ezekiel must have been bettor off than average to start with.

If you check the 1840 census you can find out if he was here then- if not, you will have a 10 year window to check for naturalization papers and ship lists. He would not be on the 1830 since he would have been a kid.

I also found a James Hamilton, 20 M, Farmer, b. Ireland in Willistown Twp. Chester Co. James also does NOT have the "Can't read & write" column checked off. Possible brother (I was looking for his father, but apparently the father  is not here.)

Keep in mind that Ezekiel's youngest child is named Willis. There might be
a connection.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I enjoyed looking over your homepage, it had quite a lot of information, however, unfortunately, nothing pertained to my husband's line.....

I am trying to find the connection to Daniel Boone, I think I have found a part of it. My husband is a Hamilton, however, I just found out that his great grandfather, Frank Hamilton married a Louella Pittman, and therein lies the connection... I have been researching the Boone Family, and found a Verlina Pittman married to a Greenup Dodson, so I guess that is the connection to my father-in-law, Ardith Edward Hamilton Jr. He claims he is a fourth cousin. Any information is welcome, as I am just starting out on the Hamilton Line....

Richard,

I just saw your new homepages, really good. Did you do this with FamilyTreeMaker ?
I still have some questions, I hope you can help me.

1. On the page about Nina Mary Hamilton you wrote that Harry Andrew Herbott
3rd lived from 1911 to 1986 I have the information that he was born DEC 12, 1910. Do you know what is correct ?

2. On the page about Harry Andrew "Bud" Herbott 3rd, your wrote about his son Harry 4th that he died on 1982, I have the information that he died on Jan 26, 1981, what is correct ?

3. Do you have pictures from Herbott's and can you send me some via email ?

If you like have a look on my small homepage : http://home.switchboard.com/herbott

with kind regards from good old Germany :-))

Hello,

I came across your web site accidentally when I was searching for a house for sale in West Grove. I was interested in your link to Mordecai Lincoln, because I believe I am also descended from Mordecai Lincoln from his marriage to Hannah Salter.

I have two web sites up. One is on Mordecai Lincoln:
http://www.members.aol.com/genmillard/MLincoln.htm

The other is "The Millard Family of Berks County Pennsylvania"
http://members.aol.com/genmillard/Berks.htm

Good luck in your genealogy search!

Hi,

I was just looking at your web site. Very good, maybe we can exchange some information. I am a descendant of William Pennock's brother Nathaniel and started the web page I have in September. I visited Primitive Hall then and was able to get a tour. I have been researching the Pennock's for 30 years and most of the information I have gathered is in me genealogy section on the web page. My page address is after my name. Looking forward to hearing from you.
