Benjamin Maule is the father of Idella Dora Maule Hamilton. He would be my great grandfather. He is buried at Doe Run Friends Meeting. Many of the Maule's are buried there. His farm, at Daleville, which he built himself, still remains there. He died in 1904 at the age of 77. Benjamin was a farmer. He lived in Daleville, PA (near Faggs Manor Church). He built his house himself and is still standing. In the 1860 census his farm is valued at $6,000 and his personality at $1,400. On Oct. 22, 1849 he married Elizabeth Jane Thompson, the daughter of Daniel and Rachel Thompson. Elizabeth was born on April 20, 1827 and died August 22, 1897. They had six children and among them were Idella Dora Maule (1892-1942), my grandmother.
